Deva exhibits wide and varied work here. Deva works as much as possible with recycled products.
The paintings contain surprises and invite viewers to look closely.
She has been painting and drawing from an early age.
Today she tries to give her work a twist, a stronger emotional energy or to negate meanings.
She is inspired by topicstarter as Autism and ADD/ADHD, phylosophy, mystic creaturen and more.
She is aware about the disruption she might cause with her work. She combines what she experiences with her own reality. Her paintings each consist of abstract or recognizable layers that she connects.

What I see is a whitch on a snow scooter. Not on a broom. So….what I see fits in the time frame I am living in. Or maybe it is a combination of the old and the new, who could say…we have our own algo rhythm. It is of influence what we experience in our lives, we can not see what we do not know.

In popular belief, the spider is considered a soul animal, and it is believed that the dreamer’s soul can leave and re-enter the open mouth of the sleeper in the form of a spider. As such, the animal had to be spared.

One of the 12 paintings form the series ‘Because it all starts Small’. A series from a darker periode in Deva’s life where she expresses her first steps in the Art of Alchemy, working with smaller paintings she made over the years and integrating them in bigger works. The universe started incredibly small, with a big bang. She used that as a metaphor for this series. From the depths of your soul, every exploded star, new life will grow, even if you feel you are blind for it. So acknowledge, embrace, work with it and move on.
Maze me is an intimate initiation into the mysteries of the soul. It waits for the guide who discovers where the lady’s heart lies in the labyrinth. Only from areas of love can one walk to the holy wedding, to the core of what is locked up in her heart.
